Technology Consulting Firm i2S Raised $2M in A Round

9/21/2004 By VentureWire Staff Reporters

I2S Inc., which provides outsourced technical services to large corporations and the government, raised $2 million in Series A funds.

The Grosvenor Funds provided the funding from its fourth fund, Grosvenor Special Ventures IV, a small business investment company, or SBIC.

I2S will use the new money for sales, marketing and customer support initiatives, according to a statement issued by Randall Meyers, the president and chief executive of i2S. The company plans to offer consulting work in areas of information technology, systems engineering, enterprise architecture, intelligence analysis and knowledge management.

The firm will also use the money to add new employees. The company's Web site lists at least 15 new positions such as software developer, systems engineer and financial program analyst. I2S was founded in 2003.
