YottaYotta Names Daniel E. Somers to Board
April 18, 2002 From VentureWire: KIRKLAND, WASH. -- YottaYotta, a network storage firm, said it named Daniel E. Somers to its board. Mr. Somers is the fifth board member.
He joins president, CEO, and co-founder Stephen Mattioli; Barton Clennon of Seek Systems; Richard Prytula, president and founding managing partner at TechnoCap; and Patrick Davenport, managing general partner at Davenport Capital Ventures.
Mr. Somers serves as vice president at Blaylock & Partners, a minority- and women-owned investment banking firm. In addition to YottaYotta, he also serves as on the board of Lubrizol.
The company said it expects to launch its first product in late third quarter or early fourth quarter of this year.
To date, YottaYotta has raised $40 million from investors including Davenport Capital Ventures, Grosvenor Venture Partners, Morgan Keegan, Optical Capital Group, TechnoCap, Banc of America Securities, Bombardier Trust, Desjardins, Condor Securities, and Noble Networks.
